Service Description

Discover balance and calm energy with this slow, steady, and mindful practice. Traditional yoga postures with some modern variations, pranayama (breathwork), hand mudras, chanting and guided relaxation to enhance your mental and physical well-being. We practice a variety of lying, seated and standing postures with a mix of softer restorative postures to ease tension in the body and mind along with more challenging movements and sometimes sun salutations to develop greater strength, balance and stability. Lots of options and modifications offered to adapt the movements for your body. Each 6 week term focuses on a particular theme for example hips or spine, or a philosophical theme to bring greater depth, focus and awareness to the practice. Every class ends with ample time to fully relax lying down in savasana at the end. Cultivate inner peace and connect more deeply with the relationship of body, breath and mind. This class is best suited if you have some yoga experience or if you are a beginner, you are okay with the class being physically active at times. You need to be able to get up and down off the floor without assistance and be okay with some kneeling. 1-2-1 guidance given where needed in a welcoming and friendly class environment.
